My name is Anna Linnea Liljeholm and I was born 1982 in Eskilstuna, Sweden. Since 2014 I live and work in Lilla Dicka outside Avesta .

I’m a process-based textile artist and my biggest passion in life is drawing. I consider all my works to be drawings no matter if it’s a sculpture, an installation, an embroidery or a classic paper and ink drawing. Drawing is rather a way of thinking then a technique that have to obey a certain material.

I’m fascinated by the human body and its complexity and this is often somehow reflected in my work. Existential questions, dreams and fantasies in one big mix are my inspiration. My work is graphic and yet at the same time fragile. I am attracted to work with darkness, mystery and the sensation of something uncanny. And as surrealistic as it may sound, in a way I try to capture what’s real by making up visual stories.
